Pocket Rocket Academy launches “Coaching Excellence” package

The evidence is clear; those members who are meaningfully interacted with are more likely to return. When they consistently return, retention increases.


Pocket Rocket Academy has launched a new package within its learning and development portfolio - “Coaching Excellence” explores and encourages different layers of interaction on the gym floor, when and how these layers should be applied, and what to consider in regards to different member types.


Through regular, monthly interactive sessions gym staff will benefit from a ‘look, learn, and listen’ approach to ensure their understanding and confidence is continually developed in order to provide members with the best possible experience that aligns to service excellence strategies.

Based on feedback from multiple operators, the industry needs further support in developing quality staff beyond qualifications,  in order to deliver better experiences for members on the gym floor. 

Nick Mennell explains “Our Coaching Excellence package has been developed to help operators cultivate the teams they need in order to meet their own service excellence commitments. Furthermore we understand the need to fit around their working day, therefore we have designed our LIVE sessions to straddle two shifts on the gym floor.” 


In the first phase of “Coaching Excellence”, Pocket Rocket Academy’s globally renowned tutors set the foundations, in a classroom environment, to equip the learner with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to have meaningful interactions with members that drive frequency of visit to the facility. By the end of this session, learners will be able to recognise and apply conscious competence with their new found understanding and skills. 


During the next phase of Coaching Excellence, Pocket Rocket Academy tutors provide ongoing, monthly support through a LIVE on the gym floor experience. By nurturing through observation, feedback and delivery examples, your staff will learn and develop unconscious competence; leading to loyalty, adherence and retention.
