Six Wellness Trends Revealed

The latest McKinsey & Company research has revealed six wellness-related trends that have been gaining momentum and in true rocket style we have come up with our own captions for these trends and related these back to the wider industry - 

Trend 1 - Keep it clean - consider opportunities to introduce natural, wellness-oriented or sustainable materials / products for a more natural / clean and environmentally friendly offering - see Myrtha Pools as a great example of a brand that has revolutionised the aquatics industry with cleaner, sustainable materials

Trend 2 - Tailor made - consider targeting precise consumer segments with messaging and storytelling tailored to suit - for example Power Plate are developing specific tools and tactics dedicated to the senior wellness sector

Trend 3 - The Future is now - consider developing a supply chain, package sizes and marketing campaigns specifically for e-commerce growth. Service providers can look to companies like our friends at Pancentric Digital to build cutting edge app-enabled features that keep consumers engaged

Trend 4 - Under the influencers - consider the use of influencers to win with your consumers across social channels, partnering with agencies like Gifta to identify the 'natural fits' for your brand in order to authentically target consumers

Trend 5 - End to end experiences - wellness brands could consider offerings such as connected devices and virtual communities with products and services that go beyond gyms and exercise equipment. For example iFIT has around 18,000 virtual workout videos available across 70 countries, with 180 global trainers delivering content from iconic landscapes -allowing them to reach and engage with more consumers than ever

Trend 6 - Blurred lines - wellness brands can look to gain entry into more categories within the wellness ecosystem by implementing a well defined, well executed plan that aligns with their values, purpose and vision.
